St Ibars will play in Oulairt in the semi final

St Ibars took on Rathnure on decide the group rankings.

Following a draw when these sides met earlier in the championship, a replay was necessary to decide which team would top the group and revel the semi final pairings.
The game was  always going to be a close encounter and it lived up to this exception. Rathnure started the better of the two teams and by the break had 1-6 on the score board. St Ibars fought hard to stay in contact and their scores in the first half came with a point from Kate Kelly from a free; Brigid Curran a point and Mags Kelly scored two points.
The second half left St Ibars with a score deficient to make up and the team shown great determination to raise the game. Brigid Curran added another point and Rathnure added two points to their tally. Then an excellent pass from Michelle Hearne to Brigid Curran saw her blast the ball to the Rathnure goal. Just minutes afterwards Dee Fox delivered a great ball to Michelle Herane and she made no mistake in adding another goal to the St Ibars tally. At this point the sides were level with only minutes left. Rathnure then found the net and followed this up with a point from a free. St Ibars added two more points to the board from frees by Kate Kelly.
The final whistle went leaving the final score St Ibars 2-7, Rathnure 2-9.
St Ibars will now take on Oulairt in the senior county semi final.
