Shelmalier Senior Team had good win over close rivals Clonee last night when they defeated the County Champions on a score line of 4- 10 to 0-6.
As with all clashes between these two sides this was a very enjoyable game with some great football played by both sides.
This was a good all round team performance from Shelmalier although it should be pointed out that the result of lasts nights game was immaterial to either side as both are tipped to meet again in the County Final.
Shelmalier have still to play Adamstown to complete the round robin part of the championship.
Manager Andy O’Brien and selectors Pat Quill and Eddie Kehoe were pleased with the performance but are under no illusions for when these two teams meet again.
