COMMUNITY GAMES TEAM EVENTS
Well done to the Indoor Under 13 boys Soccer team from the Castlebridge/Crossabeg Community Games Area who have qualified for the National Finals when they came through the Leinster semi-finals and finals in Carlow on Saturday last.  This was a very strong team who put out Kells of Co. Meath in the semi-final on a 3-2 scoreline.  The other semi-final saw Kilcock of Co. Kildare putting out a team from Mount Temple of Westmeath on a 4-3 scoreline.  In the final the Wexford side completely dominated and ran out easy winners on a 7-0 scoreline.  The team members were Stephen Maguire, Graham Staples, Colin Cleary, Eoin O`Leary, Simon Donohoe, Conor Forde, Eoghan Nolan and Adam Whitmore.  A special  word of thanks to their Manager Adrian Carr who has been with the team from the commencement of the competition in the County.  We wish them well at the National Finals in Mosney in August.  On Saturday last we also had an Under 16 Chess team of Adrian O`Reilly, Shane O`Reilly, James O`Connor, Diarmuid Neville, Daniel Neville, Cormac O`Rourke and Shane Cullen in action.  They took on a team from Drumlish, Co. Longford in their semi-final. This proved to be a marathon of a game with the more experienced Longford side winning out in the end.  Well done to the team on reaching this level of competition and thanks also to Stasia O`Reilly,  the Coach and Manager for all her hard work throughout the various rounds of the competition.
