The Model County Development Draw tickets with much improved prizes each month are on sale from 20th March from the club and members of the club will be visiting all house holds in the parish in the coming week. We again appeal for you generous support to this fantastic draw. 
There will be a Race Night held in the Porter House on Friday night next 30th March at 8 pm in order to raise funds to send our Minor footballers to London during the Bank Holiday weekend. We ask you to give it your support.

Shelmalier Juvenile hurlers continued on their winning ways with a convincing win over the Faythe Harriers on Sunday last. Ronan Kavanagh found the net in the first minute but Harriers replied with a point on the rebound. Two well taken free’s by Benny Barron were answered by another point from the Harriers. Goals followed fast and furious by Brian Doyle, Fergal Hynes and two by Ronan Kavanagh before Harriers scored their third point of the match. Points from Brian Doyle and Fergal Hynes together with a goal from Benny Barron went almost unanswered with the Harriers only getting two points before the close of the first half to leave the score at 6 – 4 to 0-5 at half time. On the restart Fergal Hynes added another point while Harriers working hard to get back into the game replied with a point and a goal before Brian Doyle put the game out of reach with a further point and goal. Brian Murphy added further insurance to the game with a superb goal. In the closing minutes Brian Doyle added a point and Ronan Kavanagh a goal, bringing his personal tally to eight goals in two matches, whilst the Harriers added 2 late consolation goals and two points to leave the final score 9–7 to 3-8. Again Shels were strong in all areas and among those to shine in addition to the scorers were Brian Tobin, Kevin O’Leary, Aidan Cash and James Gordon

The Shelmalier Junior hurlers opened their league campaign with a 4-8 to 0-8 victory over Oylegate played in Oylegate on Saturday last. The Shels started with 5 minors on starting line up and with Aidan Murphy outstanding at full back were never in arrears and went in at half time 2-4 to 0-4 in lead. Fergie Parker was in complete control at center back and finished 1st half with a goal from a penalty after Michael Kingston was fouled in square.
The black and amber scorers in the first half wered, M.Kingston 1-0, E.O Leary.0-1, F.Parker 1-1, A.Griffith 0-1 and C.Wall 0-1 Oylgate never threatened to get back in game and Shels were able to experiment with their lineout and Barry Murphy scoring a fine goal after coming from corner back to corner forward. Wille O Shaughnessy also scored a fine goal after a pass from James Murphy Shels scorers in second half _Barry Murphy 1-0. F. Parker 0-2. C.Wall 0-2. W .O Shaughnessy 1-0. Those who served the Shels well were, Aidan Murphy Fergie Parker and David Cloney.
